Reflection paragraph on sources

Poor communication is a common complaint when it comes to parents and teenagers. At least 75 percent of American teenagers today have a cellphone, often purchased by their parents so they can stay in closer touch. And parents are more likely than other adults to have a cellphone, for the same reason. I think I was okay looking for my sources. The sources that I think was more useful was the www.teencollegeeducation.org the reason I say that because it gave me more of my information about my topic. I really think the teencollegeeducation was my most tristworthy about my topic. My msnbc.com give me the obvious bias.

Quote, paraphase, and citation #3

Quote:Some schools banned pagers and cell phones starting a decade ago because of their connection to drug and gang activity, as well as due to the disruption to classes. The focus on their disruption of the educational process has come into conflict with cell phones becoming a convenience items over recent years. However, parents have increasingly lobbied boards to change policies primarily based on the argument that phones will make students and schools safer in light of national tragedies.

Paraphase:This quote is main about how they trying to keep everything safety. What they mean about this is that they trying to keep the cell phones banned. The reason I say this because students that get kick out of school trieds to do bombs threats towards the school. Thats alot of ways to keep the school safe.

Reflection paragraph on process

Cell phones have long bedeviled educators, who have extensive research to back up their complaints that the devices suck away their texting students’ attention and, increasingly, their academic honor. What was easy that the percentage because most teens love to text and talk on the phone. Really nothing was difficult to me. I enjoy alot of things that show me so many things about cell phones when I had research my topic what I dislike mostly is that how many school would like to banned cell phones from the school highs. If I had this project again I would probably change my topic and do on another topic to find out others good things around the world.

Reflection paragraph on findings

What I find in my search was how they think they should banned cell phones from schools. The most important facts that I learn was that most teens spend mor time texting. What was surprising was that how many teenagers spemd using a phone.  The question that i still have is why should they be cut off when enter the school highs. I feel good about my topic as I resarch about my topic.

Finding paragraph #1

What I think is that Green Sea should be able to have their phones out. The reason I say that because its important, have cell phones out, and help out. Having the reason could help us out alot with the phones. So I think cell phones should be banned from school or cut off when you come in the building.

Finding paragraph #3

I think we should be able to have to cell phones out while we outside. Having our cell phones in the hallways and bathrooms are okay because thats are some free time that we have to have our phones out. The reason I say we should be able to have it when we outside, hallways, and bathroom because we are not in class learning. But i do think that's it a good idea not to have the phones out while you in class. The resaon I say this because when you texting or talking on the phone in class you not learning anything by texting.

Finding paragraph #2

I'm writing about having cell phones off when you are in schools. The reason I'm writing about mobile devices because many teacher doesn't want the students to have their phones out while in class. When having the phones out the teachers wants to know why they students have their phones out in class. What teachers don't realize that having a cell phone is very important. Something that I think that is important is that it could be a problem with the child parents and they don't have no other kind of way. Another reason is if they stay after school in they can't get to a phone they could have their cell phones to call their parents to come pick them up.

Quote, paraphase, and citation #4

Qutoe:  Cell phones have been used for calling in bomb threats to schools and, in many communities, cell calls cannot be traced by public safety officials. Student use of cell phones could potentially detonate a real bomb if one is actually on campus. Cell phone use by students can hamper rumor control and, in doing so, disrupt and delay effective public safety personnel response. Cell phone use by students can impede public safety response by accelerating parental response to the scene of an emergency during times when officials may be attempting to evacuate students to another site. Cell phone systems typically overload during a real major crisis (as they did during the Columbine tragedy, WTC attacks, etc.), and usage by a large number of students at once could add to the overload and knock out cell phone systems quicker than may normally occur. Since cell phones may be a backup communications tool for school administrators and crisis teams, widespread student use in a crisis could thus eliminate crisis team emergency communications tools in a very short period of critical time.

Paraphase: In the School Safety the author claims that cell phones anit safe in school. The reason they say that because if a student get mad they could try in call the school house in make bomb threats about the school. Teachers say that cell phones can hamper alot of things about the school. Thats why most teacher does want the students to have cell phones in school

This pictures is about that they trying to keep moblie devices out of the school. The adults at Green Sea Floyds High School want the cell phones off when you walk in the builting. But when the students tell the teacher they need their phones becasue of important reasons the teacher tell them that if its important the parent will call the school.

Paraphase:  In the this article this me about how teens need cell phones for their parents could call them What Cellphone Call Say About Parents and Teenagers. The authors name is Roni Caryn Rabin claims Rabin analyzes that parents buys teenagers moblie devices for they can be able to reach them at any time. This is the reason why some students mite have their mobile devics out in class because it could be very important.

The reson I choose this picture because this is what most teacher want students to do when they get in their class but most students don't understand what the teacher want. What I mean about that students don't understand that beacuase they be hinding their phones for the teachers can't see their phones so when the teacher finally catch them they wounder why the teacher take their phone.
This the reason I chose the pictuure!

Quote, paraphase, & citation #1

Quote:Almost every teacher today hates two things in the classroom: cell phones and gum. Teachers make a bigger deal out of them than most students. Good students will pay attention so that they can do well on tests; they are responsible and want to learn.

Paraphase: This quote is meanly about is that trying to tell you what the teachers really don't like about having them in her class. In this article its trying to say only smart students don't take their phones out in class. What I notice is that most teachers makes a big deal about the cell phones in class.

What I want to know about my topic

As I been doing my research I been having so many question about cell phones. When I read the handbook I seen that cell phones are a big thing while in school. I think these question will help me out to understand why cell phones are a big problem during school.

Question about the cell phone

1.) Why we can't have our phones out?
2.) What's the cast of taken students phones?

3.) Will they every change the rule about having phones out?

4.) Why should the phone be turn off?

5.) Why cell phones so bad to teachers while in class?

What I already know about my topic

What I already know about the cell phone idea in school. I know that you can't have them out when you in class or in school. Another thing i know is that you have to turn it off when you get back in school. If you get caught with you cell phone you will get it taken in can't get it back unitl your parent come get it. When you in school you can't just take your cell phone out if you need to call home you have to go to the office or the prinpical office. So everything chang when you in school.

The story behind my topic choice

The topic that I had chose was the cell phone. The reason I chose this topic because it's a crazy idea of taking students phone that when you have your cell phone out that it get taken in can't get it back until a parent come get it. I'm not saying like its not a good idea to take your phone when a students take there phone out. Taking a students phone doesn't show that they learnin anything about that. Teachers never know what could be the matter when you take out your phone it could be very impostant thats why you always should ask before receiving the item from the student. Like i said in my paragraph students shouldn't have there phone out just to be texting a friend or something.
